The Team Elle2 – Ciatti Racing confirmed for next season Nicola Morrentino in the CIV 600 Stock class. Morrentino just 18 years old, in 2011 was ranked 4 the overall in a few points off the top. It waas the culmination of a great season, marked by the achievement of a victory, a second and third place.
The Team Coordinator Alessandro Sabella said: “Nicola has done a great job last year and we are very happy to confirm in the team. It was the youngest among the top four, he has got the fantastic victory at Monza, built just at 17 years old. His young age, together with the great maturity shown in the race, it acts as a natural candidate for the title 2012 and a future star of the sport. “
Sabella concluded: “In addition to the CIV, we’ll participate to the Italian rounds of the European Championship and even in that context, I am sure we can be protagonists.”
Morrentino commented: “I am excited to continue the relationship with Team Ciatti. The team was able to stay close to me and give me the information I needed to better interpret the approach to the series. In smaller classes I have proven in the past I can fight for victory but the transition in the 600 stocks ask a major effort towards a method of professional work. I have already begun testing for the new season and we are well advanced with the development of new tires. I am optimistic and I’m looking forward to the first race.
