Lombardi post-Imola. “It’s the right way”

There was certainly a not positive start to the season for the Italian champion in the Stock600. After the twentieth spot centered in Australia, to debut in World Supersport, Dino Lombardi had remedied a zero in the standings during the first round of the CIV 2012 and returns with the same result from Imola, the theater this weekend’s second legrainbow. The weekend of 21 years old from Benevento, riding a Yamaha Team Pata by Martini, had not started in the best way (22nd lap at the end of the double qualifying session) and ended even worse. Some positive signs, however, there was: a good recovery started from the first lap, which allowed him a few rounds of being in twelfth place, fighting for the top ten of the race and with a good pace. Only the petrol did not allow him to quit the race: the last lap, in fact, the bike of Lombardi was silenced because of the end of the fuel, resulting in withdrawal from the challenge. A failure results but gave moral to the Italian champion and the team ahead of their scheduled rounds tricolor at Imola next weekend. “If I come to the end I would have certainly keptthe twelfth square – Dino said after the race – we’re going in the right direction and I hope to capture his first successes as soon as possible.”
Of the same opinion, the team manager, Claudio Quintarelli. “Despite the result I am satisfied because we are improving. The next weekend we’re still at Imola for the race of the CIV, where we shall go a step further with the development of the bike. “
