The man to beat in Supersport, however, will certainly be the winner of the last two CIV editions, Ilario Dionisi. He and his Honda prepared by Scuderia Improve start as a favourite in the betting forecast, but beyond appearances, reconfirming once again will not be easy, because there will be old hands like him but some young rampant riders trying to snatch the «1» from his plate number.

In the first category we find the two Kawasaki Puccetti riders, Stefano Cruciani and Mirko Giansanti. The former, coming from Marche, wants to take that which escaped by a whisker in 2012 (also due to the unfortunate episode of Monza) and the latter, who is always among the fastest riders, will have to do more if he wants to try with decision to become number one.

At Mugello circuit  there will be as wild-card one of the most promising riders of the lot, the reigning champion in the Stock 600 Riccardo Russo, who is debuting this year in World Supersport with Kawasaki Racing Team Puccetti.
